Jakob's Exchange to Belgium

I, Jakob Hettinga will be thrown into a completely new world starting August 18th, 2019. In this blog you can follow my adventures and experiences as I live 11 months abroad in Belgium.

I am an eager exchange student born and raised in Calgary AB, Canada. This upcoming year I take great pride in representing all of Canada as a participant of the 2019-2020 Rotary Long-term Exchange program. I will be staying with multiple host families in a small town south-east of Brussels called Braine-Le-Comte. I will be enrolled in Institute Notre Dame De Bonne Esperance as I will learn to understand French and adapt to the new culture.
