Les vacances de la carnaval ont très vite passés et je me trouve encore à l'école, comme d'habitude. La carnaval est très important en Europe et en Belgique avec beaucoup des fêtes et festivals qui j'ai décidé de profiter le plus possible. J'ai commencé par visiter le ville de Hasselt, une grande ville au Flandres très proche de la frontière entre la Belgique et le Pays-Bas. Je suis resté la nuit avec un ami et le lendemain matin on a pris le bus vers Maastricht parce qu'il y avait une grande, très connu fête pour la carnaval. La carnaval de Maastricht est très connu et un peu bizarre car tout le monde s'habille des déguisés et profiter la journée sur la rue ou dans des cafés. On a trouvé pleins gens avec des déguisés hyper bizarre, par exemple; on a trouvé un Ferrero Rocher, des phares et pleins hippies. L'après-midi j'ai pris la train avec Gabi et on est rentré au soir.
La lendemain journée était très chill et je suis resté tout la journée a B.L.C. avec Gabi. Mais, dimanche était un très connu carnaval à Binche où je suis allé avec plein étudiants d'échange. Il y avait plus ou moins 20 ou 30 de mes potes à Binche le dimanche et on a appris le très bizarre tradition des Gilles de Binche. Effectivement des Gilles offrent des oranges aux gens de Binche mais la tradition a évolué un peu et à ce moment des gilles lancent des oranges vers des spectateurs qui essayent de les atrapper. La nuit il y avait du feu d'artifice et je suis resté la nuit bas-là parce que le lendemain matin j'allais en France avec Emily, une fille australienne, et sa famille d'accueil.
La voyage en France était hyper chouette, on est resté dans une appartement en face de la mer avec une très belle vue de la manche. On était très près de Boulogne dans une petite ville avec une grande plage. Le 4 journées que on a passé sur la plage nous ont donné une belle changement de l'air et j'étais très relax après.
Maintenait, l'école a repris et j'ai toujours des devoirs et des tests que je dois étudier. Plus bas je vais mettre des photos de la semaine passée. Cette publication est plutôt court et un peu en retard mais c'est car je suis très occupé à ce moment avec le situation en Belgique maintenait. Desolé...
The carnival vacances passed very quickly and I, once again, find myself in school. Carnival is very important here in Europe and in Belgium as well with lots of parties and festivals which I've decided to enjoy as much as possible. I started by visiting the city of Hasselt, a big city in flanders very close to the dutch-belgian border. I stayed the night there with a friend from Brazil and the next morning we took a bus to Maastricht because there was a big, very well know festival for carnival there. The carnival of Maastricht is very well know and a bit weird because everyone dresses up in crazy costumes and spends the day on the streets and in bars. We found so many people with the craziest costumes, for example; a Ferrero Rocher, lighthouses and lots of hippies. The afternoon i took the very long train back home with Gabi.
The next day was very chill and I stayed the whole day in Braine-le-Comte with Gabi. But, sunday was the famous carnival in Binche which i went with loads of exchange students. There was around 20 or 30 of my friends in Binche that sunday and we all learned the very weird tradition of the Gilles of Binche. Basically, the Gilles would offer oranges to the people of Binche but the tradition has evolved a little and now the Gilles throw the oranges towards the crowd who try to catch them. There were fireworks that night and I stayed there that night because the next day I was going to France with Emily, an australian student and her host family.
The trip to France was amazing, we stayed in an apartment facing the sea with a very pretty view of the english channel. We were very close to Boulogne in a small town with a large beach. The 4 days on the beach gave us a nice change of air and I was very relaxed after.
School has resumed now and I still have homework and tests I have to study for. Below, I am going to put photos of the past week. This post in rather short and a bit late but it's because I am super busy right now with the situation in Belgium. Sorry...
